I Love My Daddy

I don't know why but I just adore this card! I think its the cuteness of their faces :)

Each card is personalised on the back with the name of your choice & then decorated with a touch of sparkle and (check me!) I hand emboss the milk bottles too to make the look and feel of the card extra special!

I think this would make a lovely Birthday or Father's Day card.

Baby's Birthday

I've designed a new Birthday card for little ones (and the young at heart like me! ;) ) Each card is personalised and embellished with a raised name panel and a touch of sparkle. Now available in my shop or click here for more information. Don't you just want to give these little bunnies a cuddle? They have a rather pensive look about them don't they, which I adore.

I also wanted to share this video with you. Legendary British film director Sir Ridley Scott launched a global film-making contest for aspiring directors. It's titled 'Tell It Your Way". The film could be no longer than three minutes, contain only 6 lines of narrative and be a compelling story. There were over 600 entries. The winner was 'Porcelain Unicorn' from American director Keegan Wilcox.

It brought me to tears in 3mins. Beautiful.

Pitter Patter

This card was originally created for a close friend who wanted me to design her some very special birth announcements featuring my little birds. It was such a lovely project to work on and they are now available in my shop. Each card is handmade by myself, personalised on the front & back & embellished with a raised name panel. Colour it in!

I originally designed this card for Evie to give to her Daddy. I wanted it to look like she had drawn it and then I got the pencils, pens and crayons out and let Evie colour it in, she loved every minute and it made the card so special :) My Hubby loved it so much that I decided to put it in the shop too.

Each card is individually handmade by myself, printed onto a beautiful, white, heavyweight (300gsm) board and then decorated with a touch of glitter. It's blank inside for your own special message and is available to buy as a Birthday card, Mother's Day card or Father's Day card.

I love designing for friends and family because it allows total freedom to create whatever comes into my head- I don't need to worry about what people will think, I can just go for it! Then it got me thinking- shouldn't I be doing this all the time? It's amazing how much pressure we can put on ourselves to design/create in a certain way so we don't feel embarrassed to show the end result. But if we do this all the time won't we will lose the opportunity to create something new & fresh? Something that could be amazing? I was slightly scared to put this in the shop for the reasons above- it is VERY different from what I usually do but hey, I love it, it makes me smile- my husband loves it too and recently a friend bought a couple for his children, so you know what I'm going to go for it!

My Alice & Her White Rabbit

I have a new card & invitation design in the shop and they make me smile :)

It's my very own, contemporary take on Alice In Wonderland! I originally designed it for a friend's daughter and I thought it would be great fun to make her look like she was dressed up as Alice on the card, and that's why Alice has brown hair! My friend thought this was such a sweet idea that I've decided to offer it in my shop too.

Vintage Finds

Ah...Be still my heart :) Here are a couple of treasures I found recently on one of my trips to various charity shops.

From what I can gather the cup was made by Gladstone China & dates from 1924-1940. Its hand painted beautifully. The plate (also hand painted) is going to take me a bit longer to research as its Czechoslovakian. Will keep you posted!

You're One Today! Hip! Hip! Hooray!

I originally designed this card for Evie's first Birthday and then a good friend of mine had her sons first Birthday so I designed a boy version for her as I liked the design so much. It's now available in the shop in two different sizes. Both designs are personalised on the front & back which I think makes them extra special :) They both have a raised add-on name panel on the front & I've also added a touch of sparkle to the girl version. Hope you like them :)
