JoJo Maman Bébé

So I was flicking through my latest catalogue from JoJo Maman Bébé and low & behold I see the tables & chairs I designed for John Crane looking back up at me! I let out a rather loud, excited yelp & then had to show it to every unsuspecting individual who knocked on the door (inc. the post man, Tesco delivery man & someone trying to sell me a new door.....). Anywho as you can tell I really am very chuffed indeed. If you want to take a peek, click here for the table and here for the chairs.

I'm off to have a slice of cake to celebrate :)

Safari Floor Dominoes for John Crane

Last week I got a very exciting package through the post! I received my first wooden toy product from company John Crane, who I've been working with for a while now (you may have seen the previous posts). I took some quick photos with Instagram for you to see (the bottom two are from the internet). It's a set of safari floor dominoes & they are so fun, my job was to design the characters & I'm really proud of them, which is your favourite?

One giveaway & one lovely song...

Hello all! In my last post I wrote about some exciting news and today I wanted to let you know that I have the last two limited edition prints up for grabs. I took a few out of the pile & I have no. 39 & 40 to give away. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below & then if you're super lucky & your name's drawn from the hat I'd really appreciate it if you could include it in a blog post or link to me & John Crane on Twitter :) Good luck! I'll announce the winner next Monday.

I'll leave you with a new song one of my favourite bands has just recorded with The Chieftains for their 50th anniversary record- Voice Of Ages. The Low Anthem recorded Ewan McColl's song "School Days Are Over" which you can see & hear here. I love it- hope it makes you go warm & fuzzy too :)

John Crane

I have some really exciting news! For a few months now I've had the privilege of working with wooden toy company John Crane to develop their Tidlo range. I'm working closely with their toy/product designer to create decorations & a range of characters for their new products. I'm super excited about it as there is something really special about seeing your products in 3D!!! Plus I have a thing about wooden toys- LOVE them! I buy them new & old- from shops, car boots & charity shops whenever I can for Evie, so for me to be able to see my designs on wood is amazing. The pictures above were taken at the annual trade Toy Fair in London which I visited last month to do a press release with John Crane. We had 50 limited edition panda prints to give away and some were given away via the internet to people in return for reviewing my artwork. The reviews have been so lovely they have really made my day. Thank you to everyone who took the time to write about my artwork- I've pretty much had a permanent smile on my face ever since reading them :) Hopefully I'll have my first Tidlo toy to show you soon!

You can visit John Cranes website here & they are also on Twitter & Facebook.

Have great weekend everyone!
