Yoshitomo Nara at the Dairy Art Centre 2014

I've been able to tick something off my bucket list this week!!!

I've been lucky enough to see Yoshitomo Nara's art show at the Dairy Art Centre. I've been a fan of his work for over 15 years!! As expected, the show was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. His paintings, drawings & sculptures are stunning & I'm beyond thrilled that I got to see his work in person. I'll post a few of my favourite pieces below :)

Eeeek! Has it been that long since I last posted? I do hope you enjoyed my interview with Gustavo.

The reason I've neglected my blog is that I've had quite a few deadlines to meet & I meant to actually say that here at the blog & then everything snowballed on top of me. But I'm back & next time I'm swamped I shall try very hard to let you know!

Great view from our campsite. Then we heard the tail end of a hurricane was going to sweep through that night, so we legged it! lol! I love the shadows the clouds are making on the field below.

Surtex 2014

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend? We went & visited the local woods to see the bluebells in full bloom. It was the most beautiful sight to see, I honestly could have stayed there for hours & I'm sure going back before they've all gone.

Work-wise I've been getting ready for Surtex 2014. Trying to get as many designs done as possible for the agency I work with Cinnamon Joe. You can see my flyer & all the amazing artists that Cinnamon Joe represents here on Print & Pattern.

After a very relaxing couple of weeks we are back home. I feel refreshed and ready to jump back into some art work. Whilst I've been away I enrolled in and started an e-course with Juliette Crane & I'm itching to get painting again! I'll be back soon with some new work. Wising you all a great weekend!

Our Jubilee Weekend

Hello all, sorry I've been away for week or two, I've been super busy with work & Phil, Evie & I also went on a short holiday to France for a well earned rest.

I've got lots of things to tell & show you since I've been away from my blog & I thought I would start with our Jubilee weekend & show you the photos I took. Check out the colour & brightness of the poppies they were amazing to look at (no photoshop editing I promise). Overall the weather was pretty bad but it didn't stop us having fun, Phil actually BBQ'd in the rain with our neighbours & then we had to eat indoors- nothing stops us Brits from having a celebratory BBQ!! And in between the rain we also managed to visit a local street party. The photos were taken on the last day when the sun finally came out!

Snapping London

A while ago I visited the first Renegade Craft Fair in London with my friend Anna- if you haven't been I highly recommend going to one if you can. It's full to the brim of amazing artists, I really had to restrain myself from spending too much money! I did however treat myself to a little something from Zosienka & Rosie, Lucy Panes & also One of a Kind Boutique. Afterwards we had a wander around Spitalfields- again a fantastic place to visit if you can and I took a few snaps. Take a peek :)
